What is a Transaction?

A transaction is a sequence of one or more SQL statements treated as a single unit of work. Transactions must follow the ACID properties: Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, Durability.

Begin a transaction with DML and end it using COMMIT or ROLLBACK.
