What is DDL?
DDL stands for Data Definition Language. It includes SQL statements that define, alter, or remove database objects.
- CREATE - Create new objects
- ALTER - Modify existing structures
- DROP - Remove objects
- RENAME - Rename objects
- COMMENT - Add comments to metadata
DDL statements cause an implicit commit and cannot be rolled back.
